Calathea lancifolia, the Rattlesnake Calathea, is a colorful member of the prayer plant family, Marantaceae. Calatheas are often called 'prayer plants' because of their unique leaf movements: they raise and lower their leaves from day to night as a part of their circadian rhythm.
Thrives in medium to bright indirect light, but can tolerate low indirect light.
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out half way down between waterings. Increase frequency with increased light.
These plants requires high maintenance.
Safe for cats and dogs.
