Botanical name: Syngonium
Grown for its interesting leaves and semi-upright to trailing habit.
Syngonium does best in bright indirect light; variegated plants can handle brighter light but not direct sun.
Do not water it constantly. Wait until it dries then water it well. Then wait until it dries again. Use rich, well-drained potting soil and feed regularly when growing.
These plants need some care. It normally grows in warm and humid conditions, so mist or use other strategies to keep humidity up. Keep soil continuously moist in spring and summer but reduce watering in winter. The pruning is needed to keep a Syngonium living indoors handsome looking and to avoid the ugly flop effect.
